Through various means and media, my research-based creative practice toys with speculative notions of the 'experience of experience' and how technological mediation may influence our ecological awareness and defining of 'self'. This intrigue extends into questioning quotidian cartographies between objects (physical and immaterial, human and non-human) by harvesting alternative sources of Truth beyond how it is often constructed, disseminated and perceived. Synthesizing insights from various schools of thought allows my research to intersect media-ecology, the cognitive sciences, and mindfulness-awareness practices. Most recently, I've been interested in integrating studies from the emerging field of neuroaesthetics into my practice as to consider the effect of media-based arts on the spectator.

I have a background in visual communications, which is supplemented by an Electronic Media MFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art. My writings and pedagogy place me in positions where I often speak to media/communication theory, philosophy, production techniques, and aesthetics. I am co-advised by August Black (Critical Media Practices - Faculty; Atlas - B2, Artistic Director) and Grace Leslie (Atlas - Brain Music Lab, Director).
