Research Interests: I specialize in sound change, phonetics, laboratory phonology, and cognitive science. My dissertation is about an ongoing sound change in Fort Wayne, Indiana, typically referred to as /ay/-raising or as American raising. I study the progression of production and perception within individuals in this sound change.
