Language processing research at the University of Colorado

The Institute of Cognitive Science is home to a large group of researchers investigating human language. Researchers examine the cognitive and neural bases of language in children, adults, and neurologically impaired patients, create statistical models of usage and pronunciation patterns in databases of natural spoken and written language (corpora), and develop computational applications in educational technology and language engineering.
